We have been gardeners all our married lives – I mean just the two of us – not that we have been married several times. We started back in the UK in the Town of Warwick (He was the King Maker) in the shadow of the castle. People exchanged cuttings and their own seed. We tried passing our kids off that way but it didn’t… Gardeners have their own stories and the best ones are between countries. Years ago there were stories between UK gardeners and US gardeners. Eventually the UK supplied rose briars and the US grew their cuttings onto them. Good luck with your garden and don’t believe all Canadians when they tell you about our weather – we hibernate!

Thanks, Ian. I grew up gardening – but mostly veggies. (Dutch heritage, you know)Now I love my perennials, too.
